Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. As a child, she was exposed to many traditional music as well as older Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos. She also loves operas and any form dramatic performance. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive singing training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. Following her move from Mexico to America around 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for art and music has her involved in a range of different projects. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
